This month, celebrated worldwide as Women’s History Month, offers the perfect opportunity to pause and reflect on the incredible women in my life. I am humbled and honored to walk among such strength, wisdom, and grace.
Each one of you reminds me of the woman described in Proverbs 31—clothed with strength and dignity, speaking with wisdom, and fearlessly facing the future. You are also the very embodiment of what Maya Angelou called a Phenomenal Woman—radiant, resilient, and unapologetically powerful.
This is my tribute—an ode to you.
To the courageous team member who chose to “retire” to raise her children full-time: I honor your selfless sacrifice. Your decision mirrors the heart of my own mother, who made that same choice over four decades ago. While some may not have understood her then, her investment built a legacy of strong, grounded children. Just like her, you are planting seeds today that will grow into something extraordinary tomorrow. “Her children arise and call her blessed.” (Proverbs 31:28)
To my best friends and sisters juggling careers and motherhood—you are warriors. You lead teams, close deals, serve your families, and love your children fiercely. You are Proverbs 31 women, rising early, staying up late, and doing it all with grace. Like Angelou wrote, “It’s the fire in my eyes, and the joy in my feet…”—your presence is undeniable. You show the next generation that it’s possible to be nurturing and ambitious, gentle and bold.
To the women like me, without children but active in our careers and callings: your work matters deeply. Whether married or single, you are builders of dreams, advocates for justice, and champions for the voiceless. You give, lead, serve, and mentor—and that impact is eternal. You are phenomenal in every sense, and you walk daily in the wisdom and dignity of Proverbs 31. “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” (Proverbs 31:26)
**And to the next generation of women—**the bright-eyed girls, the fearless teens, the leaders-in-the-making: the world is open to you. Don’t hold back. Walk in truth. Be brave. Speak up. Dream boldly. You were born for such a time as this. “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” (Proverbs 31:30) And as Angelou reminded us: “Phenomenal woman, that’s me.” One day, you’ll look in the mirror and say the same.
To every phenomenal Proverbs 31 woman reading this:
I see you.
I celebrate you.
I honor you.
You are loved. You are powerful. You are leaving a legacy.
