Those words are more than history. They are a testimony. Just as God fulfilled His promise to Abraham, He is still fulfilling promises today. When I look at my own life, my career, my health, my relationships, I can only say with certainty: God did that.
Deuteronomy 9 reminds us that the promised land is not just about milk and honey, it requires our active participation. God has already gone before us as a consuming fire, but He calls us to rise up, step forward, and manifest what He has promised. As Pastor John Hannah declared, this is the Year of Manifestation. Now is the time to cross over.
There’s a small word in Deuteronomy 8:3 that changes everything: then. God allowed Israel to hunger, then He fed them with manna. He allowed lack, then He provided something brand new. That same pattern shows up in our lives too. Hardship allowed + God’s “then” = Provision and Revelation. Whatever season you are in, remember the trial is not the end. The then is coming.
The swing may sway, but God always pulls me back to stillness.
